Why does ESPN have teams of company and rarely shows some of the equipment?

ESPN has the PET equipment in almost every sport cover. In baseball, every game between the Yankees and Red Sox unless another station has the game. In college basketball, it's Duke and North Carolina. These teams are more than 50% of their games on ESPN. In college football is Florida and others. Some may argue that these teams are good year after year but is the coverage on ESPN the result of successful teams or the cause of that success especially among the college teams. A child who leaves school will more likely to a school that is not on TV often. SO, why ESPN favors certain teams? Is this favoritism give teams an advantage recruitment?

Ratings; the biggest rivalry in baseball are the Red Sox-Yankees and Giants-Dodgers, without exception (and in recent times, the games they play against each other end of the season will be very useful).
