The top 8 teams get a bye, then play a sweet 16 format with 8 first to come from week 2, and touching the bottom left 8 in the tournament. I think a realistic plan would be a playoff of 8 teams that fit the BCS system, with few changes. They alternate bowl games and the sites as they do now. It is money and with this system, each round will be more important than the last and the money should increase not decrease.
