Denis Irwin - Best Left Back in the English football forever?
In my book is Irwin, who can play back too, its consistency was exceptional, cost little or nothing, was'nt like some players today complaints about wages or his image, just got to work. If you do not agree that is in your book.
It was a great defender, but would I have to say that in the modern game has to offer wiser to attack Irwin did. I'd say Ashley Cole is the best left back in the Premiership at the moment and maybe the world. I think by the time they finished their career will be known as the best left-back has played in English football. I agree with you on the other parts you have said but players today are more concerned about their hair or what car they drive and really did not show any loyalty to the team that's playing by the difference of Irwin, who was United through and through and always gave the work that you have to give much respect, he was definitely a great guy, but not necessarily for me this makes him the greatest player.
