College Football Announcers Week 7

College Football - Preston Parker Dismissed FSU Football Team
The MVP 2007, age 21, Preston Parker was fired from the FSU football team after being arrested for the second time in less than a year later was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and consuming marijuana. Parker was already on probation and court-ordered community service and drug testing twice a week.
Parker was found asleep at the wheel in a drive-thru McDonalds around 4:42 Saturday morning. Police said Parker admitted drinking and smoking status marijuana. Parker has tested positive for marijuana use and tested 0.054 blood alcohol level. With these charges Parker will be fine up to $ 1000 and up to six months in prison.
On Monday, FSU coaches dismissed the basis of wide receiver in his last arrest and violation of certain rules, as it imposed on him after the team let him return in the summer, after the incident last April. At that time, gave FSU a two- parties and set higher standards, like other 50 hours of community service, drug testing twice a week and forced him to move in a controlled environment room, because the receiver had already been arrested once before, but given the opportunity to vindicate his conduct and be a model for the team. However, the player violated this Saturday and coach Bobby Bowden fired him immediately.
Preston Parker''has been dismissed from the football team since Florida State the violation of his latest team policy,''coach Bobby Bowden alleged involvement in a notice released.
Parker got in trouble for the first time in November 2006 when police were called to the electronics store who accused him of trying to steal a CD. It is of then agree to move to a diversion program and the charge was soon dismissed.
However, an important issue came in April 2008 when was arrested on weapon and drug possession. During that time, he was charged with 12 months probation and 50 hours of community service. Now, with this latest incident committed in less than a year, he lost all his chances with the football team at FSU.
During the time of Parker with FSU, where second year in 2007 was named offensive MVP of the team after catching 62 passes for 791 yards, rushing for 270 yards and 52 rushing attempts. Although during 2008 Parker returned to action after his suspension of two games against Western Carolina and Chattanooga and guided Florida State with 40 receptions, the rest of his stats of 372 yards, 10 carries for 87 yards, were not even close to their numbers in the 2007 season.
Now to dismiss her, FSU is looking for three new receivers and has become the first two years and one to replace the position of Parker. On the other hand, Parker is already too later for himself ready for the project but could have the opportunity to be selected in the supplemental draft in the league, or for scholarships elsewhere. Hopefully by Seminoles to find good replacements for next season and Parker to learn from their mistakes and change for the better so you can still have a future in football.
