Director of College Athletic?

Hi all, I hope I can gain some knowledge on the road to take. I am a former football player and university. It is now interested in working in the field of athletics. What does a job SA Athletic Director suppose, what is the salary range. I would like be an athletic director and coach of the football team ... so any and all information is welcome. I graduated from college and working on my master at this time. I have 22 years, I trained before the game not only constantly in school, my summer job is to train at the soccer fields, and currently work at the offices of the athletics administration at my university as an assistant and part of the game operations and event management staff. (While attending school)
