college football question?

texas tech is currently in 4th place in the big 12 south.
they are 8-4.
in 2004 texas tech went to the holiday bowl with 3rd place in big 12 south with a record of 8-4.
if oklahoma state loses on nov. 24 to oklahoma, texas tech will be in 3rd place in the big 12 south with a record of 8-4 again.
if that happened would texas tech be in the holiday bowl again?

Tech will end up in the Alamo, Gator or Insight. Last year, the third team in the South was third overall in the Big12. This year third in the South means 5th overall (after KU and Mizzou).
