Denver Broncos Tickets- Broncos Add Another Fullback
The Denver Broncos seemed to have a curse on their backfield this season as they have fallen one by one until the roster was all but depleted. In order to have in a chance at a running game, the Broncos have been searching around the league for unsigned backs. They added another with fullback Andrew Pinnock, a free agent who was released by San Diego earlier this year. This comes after Michael Pittman, Andrew Hall and Ryan Torain have all been placed on injured reserve and Selvin Young is out with a groin tear. It is not yet clear where Pinnock will fit on the depth chart. Currently, Peyton Hillis has the starting spot and is backed up by Spencer Larsen.
Pinnock sent his college years at South Carolina, where he had 422 carries for 1,852 yards and 27 touchdowns. The stats led to interest from the San Diego Chargers, who picked up Pinnock in the seventh round of the 2003 draft as the 229th pick overall. That first year, he played all 16 games on punt and kick returns. He had two returns for a total of 40 yards. He played only one game the next season, being inactive for nine week and then suspended for another four. In 2005, he played in 12 games. He had one return for 24 yards as well as one rushing attempt for four years. He was inactive for the first 10 games of 2006 and ended up playing three games. He played 10 games and started three in 2007, tallying one reception for five yards as well as four carries.
Even though both Hillis and Larsen are rookies, it looks like Pinnock could have some trouble earning the starting spot from either of these players. Hillis has played 10 games so far with four stars. In that time, he has recorded 156 rushing yards on 38 carries as well as three touchdowns. During the same time, he had 13 receptions for 168 yards and one touchdown. He has returned four kicks for 65 yards as well. Larsen found playing time in 11 games and having two starts. He has been playing on defense as well and racked up 21 tackles. Be there to catch all of the action with Denver Broncos tickets from http://www.stubhub.com/denver-broncos-tickets.
So far this year, the Denver Broncos have had a season that is strange even without the injuries. They started off incredibly strong, taking down the Oakland Raiders 41-14. They continued with that streak with a narrow 39-38 win over the San Diego Chargers in week two and a 34-32 win over the New Orleans Saints during week three. Cracks in their armor started to show when they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs 33-19 during week four. They narrowly beat Tampa Bay the following week before being topped by the Jacksonville Jaguars. They limped into their bye week by losing to the New England Patriots 41-7. They have since tallied a few more wins, but lost, 31-10, to the same Oakland Raiders they topped at the beginning of the season.
