College Football - Michigan State crushes State of Montana, two sophomore quarterbacks Look Good

Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio job became more difficult Saturday after his Spartans sent 1-AA Montana State, 44-3, but also became in sweet.
It was more difficult because 1-AA Montana State is far cry from those opposed to the Spartans face the work its way through Big Ten competition in the coming weeks. Playing a 1-AA team was a great thing for the Spartans, it was the first time in school history that had faced a team so uneven.
Dantonio job became more sweet because his two quarterbacks second-Kirk Cousins and Keith Nichol, both looked good in his attempt to become in to replace starting QB Brian Hoyer, QB now a backup for the NFL New England Patriots. Seeing Hoyer played last year was inconsistent, but was he also apparently good enough to try and compete at the next level.
Michigan State was a big question mark which would replace Hoyer. The two cousins, who is 6-3 and 202, and Nichol, who is 6-2 and 215, split time at center and looked good.
Cousins was 10-of-17 for 183 yards and had three touchdown passes of 29 yards to sophomore BJ Cunningham, a senior White 15 yards to Blair, and another of 24 yards to White.
Nichol was 9-of-18 for 135 yards and had two touchdown passes of 26 yards to freshman tight end Dion Sims, and a 3-yarder to tight end Brian Linthicum second year. Sims is 6-5 and 268, Linthicum is 6-5 and 245.
passing game, Michigan State looks young and effective at the time. The question now is, can do much better against competition in the heat of Big Ten play?
Another big question is who would replace All-American Spartan running back Javon Ringer. Ringer, who was selected Tennessee Titans of the NFL, he ran 390 times in his senior year, gaining 1637 yards and scored 22 rushing touchdowns. He led the nation in rushing, touchdowns and scoring and was fourth in rushing. Ringer accounted for 97% of last year to run the Michigan State yards.
Against Montana State student Caulton Ray redshirt the first year had 12 carries for 71 yards (5.9 yards per carry), freshman Larry Caper added 34 yards on seven carries (4.8 YPC), and student Edwin Baker freshman added another 27 yards on eight carries (3.3 YPC).
Mayor Blair White had impressive numbers with 9 receptions for 162 yards and a TD 2.
The Spartans led 28-0 at halftime and gained 493 offensive yards to 160 for the state of Montana. Michigan State star linebacker, junior Greg Jones had 14 tackles, he is certainly a better linebacker in the Big Ten.
The game was Michigan State's opener at home. Montana State receive at least 650,000 dollars to travel to East Lansing for an almost certain loss of the first game, but the pay day will be enough to pay almost one third of the annual football Montana State. The Spartans host Central Michigan at home on Saturday.
