College Football Championship History

college football fans, what's your opinion on this?
John Swofford, the coordinator of the BCS, rejected the idea of switching to a playoff, arguing it would threaten the existence of celebrated bowl games.
Sponsorships and TV revenue that now go to bowl games would instead be spent on playoff games, "meaning that it will be very difficult for any bowl, including the current BCS bowls, which are among the oldest and most established in the game's history, to survive," Swofford said.
That was part of a story that I found on ESPN's website and here's my solution to that problem: Let's say for example that the BCS had an 8-team playoff at the end of this season. The championship game would still be at the Rose Bowl, the semifinals could be the Fiesta and Sugar Bowls and the quarterfinals could be the Orange, Liberty, Cotton and Capital One Bowls. Problem solved?
Yeah many people have agreed to this solution for a while now.
Have a playoff system with the bowl games rotating between the Championship and semifinals etc.
And any teams that don't make the (4/8/16 however many teams) playoffs would play in the lesser bowl games.
