Why does everyone feel Ohio State is overrated?

It seems easy for everyone to label Ohio State (OSU) as overrated, but have you really given it much thought as to why?

-OSU is tied with Notre Dame (7 each) as having the most heisman trophies per school (-source wikipedia)

-Our collegiate players often make easy transitions from the college level to pro. level football (i.e. AJ Hawk, Ted Ginn, Anthony Gonzales, Donte Whitner, Joey Galloway, etc) which would seem to indicate that our football program is top notch in terms of preparing them for the future.

- I understand that this year our conference may have been weaker than in past years, but isn't the same true in every conference that there are "off" years where the teams aren't as good and traditionally the Big 10 is a strong conference.

- What I'm looking for in this answer is an explanation why, not just they suck, or weak conference, but an actual explanation to back up your answer, that will be the "winner"...

Past time isnt what people are saying makes them overated, but most people say they're overated this year is because they got blown in the National Championship Game, but if they're overrated this year so are all the other teams, LSU etc...
