College Football Defensive Rankings
What are the major factors to consider when taking a side in a sporting even, particularly b-ball and football?
The ones I think are important are: the spread in terms of where it started and where it is now, each team's record, power ranking (e.g. RPI), homefield (more so in college), key injuries, schedule (strengh of and current win/loss streak), and statistical rankings (points allowed, points for, defensive rankings, etc.) What other ones are important???
Those (B ball- F ball) are different reasons. I put pitching match ups as major factor in B ball. B ball seems to be real streaky.. Teams play real hot or cold, seems to last a couple weeks or so. F ball weather is a major factor to me, as well as what you said.. injuries to "key players" like if a team plays it's home games in a covered stadium and goes for one in Lambough field an 10 below. You know..
