College Football Fsu Schedule
College football schedule(s)?
Why are some magazines rating teams schedules before they have played games? Sure, I do not have to read it but I would hope voters do not have to beleive it. Hopefully by now everyone realizes voters can and will be wrong and fall into tremendous biases. I think they started Auburn off 4th last year and FSU off 11th based on nonsense. Once teams are given these prime positions it can take several weeks for people to really find out they might not be that good....Or if there schedule is favorable they can glide the whole season looking good but sucking.
*Don't give me playoff for an excuse either.
*I do not want to beleive this team is stronger or this conference is stronger based on just press or popular coaches.
*Sxcrew polls too.
I love to read the preseason polls and magazines, and then bring them out at the end of the year and see how bad they were. Wake Forest was everyone's choice for last place in the ACC, and they went to the BCS. Rutgers went from nowhere to the Top Ten. Northwestern, in '95, went from bottom third of the Big Ten to the Rose Bowl. Or LSU in basketball last year - coming off the Final Four they're everyone's favorite in the SEC West, and they were last in the SEC West. This is the nightmare about scheduling in college.
Since the schedules are often done five or more years in advance, everyone dissing teams for playing Illinois last year should remember that that game was probably scheduled off of the Illini's Sugar Bowl season, not their 1 win seasons. It's why Rutgers will take a few years to get to a Top Ten schedule, and by that time they may have sunk back to the depths. And it's why rating schedules is stupid, since a great team this year can completely stink next.
