UCI - do i stand a good chance?
hello everyone.
college applications are coming up soon, and i am stressing like a madman. the one college i really want to get into, (this is my number one choice), is the university of california irvine.
i desperately NEED to get into this college, its my dream to get accepted here.
so basically im going to give you some of my statistics in school and my background, and i am BEGGING you all to please Pleasee give me a good, mature, accurate, and HONEST input about my chances of being accepted. I would really like some advice also. If you are experienced in this sort of thing, please help me out! so here it goes:
-difficult schedule (all APs and honors)
-clubs: CSF, CSP, NHS, PTSA
-sports: 1 year of football
-average cumulative weighted gpa: 3.5
-SAT reasoning: 1900
-parttime job: yes, pasta bravo
-sat 2: math 2c - 650 / US history - 600
PLEASE help me out, and THANK YOU for reading!
i know i am falling a bit short on the GPA, but please let me know what you think!
Predicting chances of admission is a crap shoot. Do your best to put together your application and hope for the best. Irvine is not an exceptionally competitive school (55.4% accpetance rate for Fall 2007). You can see the profiles of admitted students to Irvine for Fall 2007 (detailed breakdown of GPA, SAT, ACT, SAT II, and other statistics) at: http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/educators/counselors/resources/materials/ITU.pdf on page 39.
