Should I ask her out? Shes 17 and Im 15.?

I have been wondering if my relationship between a girl could work. She is a tall is 17, almost 18. I am a sophomore who is 15 years. Its only 2.3 years apart + 2 degrees of separation from school. Also I'm taller than her lol. We went out often and she asks me to go places with her, I think of her as a good friend and I hope she does well. We went to a football match back home the other day and we hugged and hung out. So I'm not sure what to call it, but I was thinking that it would not hurt to wait a while and possibly ask your future out. The only problem is she goes to college next year so if I did not ask her out soon may be too late. What do you think? Do you think I should wait or go for it? Thank you. Lol I do not plan to make babies when im 16.

a hug doesn't mean much ... but if u like it should ask her out, but when she is 18 and 16 you will not be able to have sex because you're underage
