Why the national championship game college football will be televised by ABC instead of FOX.?

Because being played at The Rose Bowl. The television contract that the Rose Bowl game itself (this season Ohio State vs Oregon) and the National Championship game (this season Texas vs. Alabama) when playing in the Rose Bowl (This happens every four years, next time will be after the 2013 season) will be televised by ABC.
