college football on the internet
Why are some rivers, such as the Internet in the NFL remove the ads and not others?

I've noticed inconsistency in the leagues and commercial content to listen to games online. Some leagues will remove or replace ads with their own, like NFL MLB.tv and audio streams. Other commercial air links, as the NBA, Most college football / basketball Internet streams, and the NHL. What explains this contradiction? Why air the ads in the league, but the other can not? Is it because the leagues like the NFL and MLB are too cheap to pay the required fees to air the content?

This is my original post the NBA and the Olympics. One thing that is added to it is for every blogger who so wish to make a simple test. In his blog, add a picture of the Olympic Games 5 rings and a photo of your favorite player with his Olympic uniform. Beneath the images, add the title, "My Official Olympics Update" and then the chronicle of that player in the Olympics with photos of the Olympic Games official website. Show your patriotism and pride ... ie until disassembly get a letter or a cease and desist order to remove it. That's how much pride the Olympics the country and is these days .... A second point to generate a thought is the concept of the players and coaches, "And 1ing" their nationality in order to participate or to better market themselves. What is "Y" 1ing? Being born and / or raised in a country, but building an ancestral link to another country where your odds are better to make the team. Thus, for example, his great-grandfather, great was born in Upper Slobobia. to play basketball or superior Slobobian handball team, you get a passport from there. That is "Y" 1ing. Adding a nationality so he can play on your computer. Or what about giving up the citizenship of their country of origin to come here and play in our team. Is that what we want to encourage that we are facing an avalanche of ads in one of the many cable networks know that GE will be filled with Olympic programming? Are we sure the Olympics is about patriotism and pride? Or is it marketing? Im certaintly not against GE and the Olympic Team U.S. make as much money as possible in the game. More power to them. But lets not lie to ourselves about what is happening. Here is my original post more 4 years ago. NBA and the Olympics April 2004 10:54 seventh time again asked about my position on NBA players and the Olympic Games. A question from a journalist usually leads to follow a 100 more. Thus, in the interest of disclosure, fairness and time, I decided to send the reply here and saved me some time ..... In the world of sports marketing, advertisers usually have a budget established sports marketing. Each poster was launched by all the different sports organizations competing for dollars. Competitors are the Olympics and the NBA. One of the beauties of the court is that our athletes NBA are so recognizable, affable and respected. The ability for an advertiser to connect their products to KG, Tim Duncan, Shaquille O'Neal, Dirk, etc., individually or through the purchase of commercial sponsorship or game, is a major selling point for us. Must be a big selling point for the exclusive use of the NBA, but unfortunately that already is not the case. When the NBA was broadcast on NBC, was much less of an issue. With NBC as the home of the Olympics and the broadcast partner of the NBA, had a plenty of opportunities for cross promotion and sales. NBC could promote the Olympic Games in the NBA games, and promote the NBA in the Olympics broadcasts. NBC could require advertisers to buy advertising NBA to get publicity Olympics or vice versa. There were countless win - win by having both scenarios Games Olympics and the NBA, next on NBC. That obviously is no longer the case. The NBA is now on ESPN / ABC and TNT,. We are paying a lot of money in a deal that has been working well for all invovled. What in the world are we doing to help our partners in the competition? Why are we giving our valuable human resources rather than a big business, the Olympics so they can try to take revenue away from the NBA and our partners? Let's put this in terms of basketball ... Would you trade KG TD, Peja, Jermaine and more than 10 stars around, and pay their salaries if they are hurt, because nothing ........... In exchange for providing our best players for the Games Olympics, the value is supposed to receive is increased visibility and demand for the NBA, its players and merchandise. The value of what can amount to total revenue received annually by each team of international TV and merchandise sales. I will not tell you what that number is, but I can say that it would pay the salary of a player signed by the exception of one million dollars this year. So we are subsidizing the U.S. Olympic Committee by: - Providing the players we have that pay for - Reducing the amount of advertising dollars available for the NBA and our broadcast partners to allow advertisers to use our players through Release and Olympic programs - putting our valuable players at greatest risk, with the possibility of having to pay their wages, even if they are unable to make or carry out in the previous levels - Potentially cheating our fans and customers who invest in our league, teams and products, with players who are worn or damaged their Olympic experience - what is even crazier is that U.S. fans who buy our tickets and pay salaries to the players probably even not get to see our stars in more than game for the gold medal. If so, where is the logic in this? I understand that players want to represent their countries. That's great. Here is an NBA toegether organized and sanctioned international competition that we can control and profit from. We can allow any country to enter on a computer, and allow NBA players representing their country. If its so important, it allows also to increase the exposure of the NBA play in and against other countries. Im all for the international game, while its in the context of a program of the NBA NBA realizes the main fan, customers and partners first. If you agree, call your favorite team and tell them you do not want your players to participate in the Olympics. Want to preparing for next season. And then order your season tickets:) * * * * Permalink Email this Linking Blogs Comments [36] Hulu is kicking Youtube 16 June 2008 20:30 ass is coming up in Two years after my statement that only an idiot would buy YouTube and Google was crazy for actually going through with it. In that period of time, while traffic to YouTube has exploded, have been steadfast in their admission that they have not been able to monetize traffic from YouTube in a profitable manner. Youtube has become the poster child for the old saying "we are losing money on every sale, but we will in volume." Youtube For the fan club, its inconceivable that any high-traffic website and market presence could be anything other than an enviable position. The fan of children would be increasingly evil. The model Youtube business is broken and there is light at the end of the tunnel is being built. The reason is Hulu. Hulu videos are only good Youtube. They are not even remotely close to the number Total users served or videos. One area in which Hulu is just kicking up and down Youtube, and another in which Hulu is laughing at Youtube all the way to the bank. Allows start with the second, Hulu laughing Youtube. Youtube has presented something that simply can call arbitration Hulu Youtube. What is arbitration Youtube you ask? Simple. Hulu posts clips, not full episodes, clips on your Youtube channel and elsewhere on Youtube. The clips are overlapping and Rolls preroll and post promoting Hulu and its full episodes programs and movies. All of which costs Hulu enormous cost of nothing ..... From which it generates traffic to its Hulu site on which it sells to the point of sale often, display and preroll ads. This is the final arbitration. We pay nothing, and send us traffic that generates ad revenue for us. Which brings us to the area one is rather than say two areas that Hulu is just stomping all over Youtube, 1. Revenues from video 2. Hulu revenue per user has a huge advantage over Youtube, it has the right to sell advertising space in and around every single video on your site. You can package and sell any way that would make their customers happy. Youtube on the other hand, have that right only for the small percentage of videos on their site that has a license agreement. For probably 99pct or more of the videos on the site, Youtube is not supposed who know what they still are. How can that be? Because YouTube hides behind the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. "Hulu is half site that presents the videos with advertising. You can do whatever he wants. Youtube ts a hosting service. It is not allowed to know what videos are uploaded by users and is not allowed to generate income against the videos. You can only sell advertising around videos it has licenses. Which brings us to a question and a prediction. Question: What site has now has more video and traffic monetization, YouTube or Hulu? I do not know the answer. I'm guessing that its already a close race and may even be in favor of Hulu. I I know I need to get more Youtube monetize the traffic is so added the checkbox Videos Partner. Note that these are only videos that are ads next to. Prediction: That the next year, not only are Hulu Youtube monetize traffic, but will have more income Youtube total too. No place I would support if they are on the run annual rate of over Youtube. All that makes Youtube in a very bad place. Because Hulu can monetize their 100pct traffic growth should be able to afford the best content available. Not a lot of money, but even the smallest of guaranteed payments producers, which not only attract better content from YouTube, but also increase the cost to Youtube for the content they want most for the license. On the other hand, Hulu, he knows exactly what they have on the site and can sell it 100pct, profession
