Boise State and Ball State, two 11-0, are actually undefeated but unproven overrated Top 25 teams

Both Boise State and Ball State are 11-0 this season and have earned some bragging rights. After all, are two of only four remaining undefeated teams from the Division 119 1-A schools at this point in the college football season. Alabama is 12-0 and Utah is 11-0.
Introduction of competition on Saturday (11-22-08), Alabama was Number 1 in AP Top 25 Poll, Utah was No. 8, Boise State was No. 9 and No. 14 Ball State. Perhaps even more importantly, the BCS rankings Alabama was No. 1, Utah at No. 7, Boise State at No. 9 and Ball State at No. 17.
I have not any problem with Alabama and Utah rankings in any survey, but I have some serious problems with Boise State and Ball State being ranked that high.
Players, coaches, spectators, Boosters and the citizens of Boise, Idaho (home of the Broncos of Boise State) and Muncie, Indiana (home of the Cardinals of Ball State) should be understandable shot at success of their equipment.
There should be a lot of commotion and yelling going on in Boise and Muncie. It is not easy to go through 11 games unbeaten in competition in any level.
That said, my jaw complex is on red alert, because I think both Boise State and Ball State are not the 9 and 17 best teams in the nation, According to the BCS rankings. The strength of schedule, apparently has no influence on the BCS ranking.
Introduction of competition Saturday Boise State's strength of schedule was 123rd and Ball State was 127th among 119 Division 1-A schools, according to the Sagarin College Football Ratings.
This means that both teams have built their unbeaten records on computers that are, on average, less than the Division 1-A caliber. I think a serious crack in his armor.
Last season, the Warriors of Hawaii danced his way to a 12-0 record before winning a BCS Sugar Bowl date with Georgia, and then losing 41-10 to the Bulldogs. And exactly How do you build that Hawaii undefeated 12-0 mark that left them with a No. 10 ranking in the Final AP Top 25 poll? I'm glad you finally asked. Here's how:
The 12 teams from Hawaii Warriors had beaten a combined record of 53-92 won-loss for high .365 (37%) percentage Victoria. His victims include Northern Colorado 1-11 (a 1-AA team), Idaho 1-11, 2-10 UNLV, Utah State 2-10, 4-9 New Mexico State, Washington 4-9, 5 -7 Louisiana Tech, 5-7 St. Jose State, 5-6 Charleston Southern (another 1-AA team), 6-6 Nevada, Fresno State 8-4, and 10.2 Boise State.
You can call Fresno State and Boise State teams great with a straight face. I'm not sure what the other 10 teams, but mediocre, terrible evil.
So Hawaii was actually the best team in the tenth country to enter the Sugar Bowl? Nothing in the world. The fact of the matter is that Hawaii could have been easily defeated by teams played much more than last year.
For Not to be outdone by Hawaii, this year teams no less than three undefeated major conferences have not risen from the ashes in hopes of a BCS Bowl opportunity 12-0 Game Utah of the Mountain West Conference, 11-0 Boise State from the Western Athletic Conference and Ball State 11-0 in the Mid-American Conference.
I have no problem with the state of Utah from its strength of schedule is only 4 points behind No. 1 ranked Alabama 11-0, 72-76. If you are wondering, No. 3 Florida (10-1), ranked eighth on the strength of schedule and No. 4 Texas (10-1) ranked seventh on the strength of schedule to enter the competition on Saturday.
If Alabama makes the BCS National Championship Game, the Crimson Tide could be for a little surprise.
Boise State has built its undefeated 11-0 record this year to win against teams with a combined 58-77 record for a .429 (43%) percentage Victoria. The victims have included Bronco Idaho State 1-11 (a 1-AA team) 2-10 Idaho, Utah State 2-9, 3-8 New Mexico State, Bowling Green 5-6, 5-6 Southern Mississippi, 6-6 San Jose State, 6-5 Hawaii, 6-5 Nevada 7-4 Louisiana State Fresno State 7-4, and Oregon 8-3.
You can call Fresno State and Oregon good teams, but the rest of them are not even on the radar screen of either by any measure.
The Boise State Broncos together an undefeated 12-0 regular season in 2006 and faced Oklahoma in the BCS Fiesta Bowl, winning 43-42 in overtime to record an historic victory by a team of middle level in a major football program loaded. It was a glorious moment for Boise State and its proponents.
One has to wonder, however, that Boise State record would have been this year if the Broncos had played teams Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State and Nebraska (with a combined record 36-8) and Oklahoma had to do this year. Boise State certainly would not have entered the Fiesta Bowl with a 12-0 mark.
Ball State has built its undefeated 11-0 record this year by winning against teams with a combined 51-82 record for a .383 (38%) percentage Victoria. Victims have the Cardinal including 2-10 Northeast (1-AA school), 2-9 Western Kentucky (another 1-AA school), Eastern Michigan 2-9, 2-9 Miami of Ohio, Indiana 3-9, 3 -8 Kent State, Toledo 3-8, 5-6 Akron, Navy 6-4, 6-5 Northern Illinois, Central Michigan 8-3, and 9-2 to Western Michigan.
If Ball State had to play Texas, Texas Tech, State Oklahoma and Nebraska (teams with a combined record 36-8) and Oklahoma had to do this year, there is no way the Cardinals are 11-0.
It is state the ball the 17th best team in the U.S.? I doubt it. If Garner Ball State a better bowl game against a worthy opponent, it will be interesting to see how the Cardinals will.
Utah, Boise State and Ball State will be able to take his game during the Bowl season. If you are playing in more than one bowl game Rinky-dinky, that really means something.
