National Cornhole Sensation

If you've walked through any town in the midwest recently, you probably noticed a large number university students aged kids playing a game that resembles the bean bag game that might have remembered as a boy. That game is known as Cornhole and has been extended by the country in recent years. Ohio residents claim the popular game, but variations of it have already played in the 18th century. Where and who invented it, is very funny that is why it is picked up steam somewhat in recent years. It is so popular these days that this summer there was a great tournament held in the stadium Soldiers Field in Chicago, a front-page article in the Wall Street Journal, and an arcade game put out by the people who invented the popular Golden Tee video game.

So what is the reason for growth? It's not like the game has not been around for a while or is something very singular. There are probably lots of reasons why which is popular. On the one hand, does not take much in terms of equipment goes. Virtually everything you need is just a set of cornhole boards and bags and is ready to play. Throw em in the back of your car and you're ready to go. Another reason is that it excludes no one, an older person can play with a young person and all the world will be happy. And, most importantly, a game that everyone can see and enjoy each others company. In a game of volleyball, there is little interaction between people who play the game and the people who are not. With Cornhole, you can talk to people who are playing or you can hold a conversation with people who are standing next to tables. So it makes for a great celebration of sport and great if you are planning an outdoor barbecue or something.

So what do you need to play this game? Well, not much! The first thing you need is a set of cornhole boards. Regulatory Councils measure 4 feet by 2 feet or you can go with a table tailgating style that are 3 feet by 2 feet. Once you have boards, you can get the bags. The cornhole bags are 6x6 "bags that weigh 14 to 16 grams and are made duck cloth. Durability is key for the bags if you're going to make your own, you should ensure you are using the best quality material and thread. Otherwise, you 'll be sorry, because the bags do not take much wear. You can also add some other accessories like a light scoretower or if they wanted to play at night but the cornhole bags and boards are essential.

So there you have it! Although it may be hard to see why this game is so popular, she was confident me, if you give it a shot you will understand in a heartbeat why this game is loved by so many. So next time you're having people over, throw together and see what kind of activity it generates. Potentially you can make your party one to remember!
