Stefan Logan Adds Sizzle to Pittsburgh Steelers Game Back
Steelers fans have so many ugly memories of Najeh Davenport, Allen Rossum, and Gary Russell receiving kick returns over recent seasons. Stefan Logan has taken the game back a new hope for this year. Playing for a team ranked 29th declining returns and 31 punt returns last year in the NFL means almost everyone seems to be an improvement.
The 5-foot-6, 180 pounds is not your typical Logan first year rookie in the NFL. In fact, the 28-year-old spent last year playing in the Canadian Football League with the British Columbia Lions. Before joining the CFL, spent time in the field list of the Miami Dolphins and had a tryout with the New York Giants in 2007. The speedy running back Logan played last year by Lions averaged 7.2 yards per carry on 122 attempts and caught 52 passes for 477 yards.
Even with his credentials CFL, the Steelers of 2009 spent two selections draft pick (WR Mississippi Mike Wallace in the third round and Central Florida CB Joe Burnett in the fifth round) in the prolific players who had college funds in the match back. Took a dynamic behavior in the preseason not only beat Wallace and Burnett, but also make the final roster.
He only played Logan a football season at Jackson High School in Miami, then helped out as an undertaker in his father's business for five years before playing football and running track at the University of South Dakota. This would be schools at all times by Land (5958) and all effects Supplies (7859) records before graduating in 2007.
Steelers director of football operations Kevin Colbert Credit and chief scout Phil Kreidler CFL to find Logan and Mike Tomlin for granting sprinter an opportunity. You can not create records in the NFL as he did in South Dakota but when will replace Davenport in the world in the second leg then the speed alone is a major upgrade to a team already formidable.
Stefan Logan 5 foot 6 frame in nominal value may not be the most dynamic in search of the NFL but gives Steelers fans another reason to wait to buy Super Bowl 2010 entries.
