The heroic quarterback Zac Robinson, who recently broke Colorado? S hearts with a 30-17 victory last Saturday night, is one of 15 semifinalists for the Maxwell Award, an award given annually to the nation? s best college player the year.
Head Coach Mike Gundy is also one of the semifinalists, this time for the George Munger Award. It is one of 15 finalists eligible for the award annually to the nation? S coach of the year. Both honors will be awarded by the Maxwell Football Club. The list was reduced to three years and will be shown around December on ESPN as part of the Home Depot ESPNU College Football Awards. This only adds to Robinson? S momentum that carried the whole team through a victory hardfought Cowboy against Colorado. He threw for 207 yards and a touchdown and ran for another. With Robinson? S heroism, the Cowboys managed to overcome sliding Colorado, including one start very slow.
