College Football Radio Stations

For those old enough to remember, What are your memories of the night John Lennon died?
I was at Kean College, living at home in New Jersey. I was listening to Monday Night Football on the radio because my TV had "Sleep Timer" or a remote control. New England was vs. Miami, where the broadcaster (not Howard Cosell) gave bulletin John Lennon had been shot, I tuned into my favorite station, WNEW-FM I heard Vince Scelsa 102.7 mourn, I knew it was bad news. I spent the rest of the night looking at my posters of the Beatles and listen to the tributes on the radio, people called to share their feelings and all Beatle music greats, I do not think I lose sleep that night. = (
I do not remember exactly the night ... I only remember that in a state of shock. Radio stations were playing the night of Lennon's new album and day, which only came out a couple of weeks before his death. Next day a few friends and I were to meet in The Art Museum steps (Philadelphia) with 100 and 100 of other people ... was a freezing, windy cold day. There was Lennon's "Give Peace a Chance "blaring everywhere. We just stood around and were surprised that he was gone. A week later, I saw Springsteen in concert and talked about Lennon and what a sad world it has become much hatred and violence. That was 27 years ago ..... think how much more violent and cruel in this world is NOW! Great question ... I already favorites!
