College Football Rivals Odds

Why is Tim Tebow the current front runner for the Heisman Trophy 2009? How do you justify?
I looked to see an article Heisman ESPN. Here's the link: http://espn.go.com/college-football/heisman09/index I do not mean it's a great college quarterback, but their number this year. 777 yards passing in five games? That equates to 155 yards / game. No matter what kind of spin is put into it, those are not Heisman numbers. I do not care Heisman if he won two years ago and perhaps one should have won last year. This is a new year. Why is he even in consideration of this year, and much least one front runner for the award? He misses the cut in the top 31 quarterbacks for some odd yards 600 yards in this classification yahoo: http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/stats/bycategory?cat=Passing&conference=I-A_all way, has lasted five touchdown passes and is a great leader, but so what. There are other great leaders in teams around the country. What do you think?
If I was able to play against Charleston Southern and Troy in the first few weeks of the year, would be on that list. I think this leader board "only shows also that ESPN and the rest of the media covering college football is too obsessed with Tim Tebow. He is praised every time he does the thing simple in the field. I could pee without getting in the seat and ESPN would be willing to erect a golden statue outside their building. I saw highlights of him in College Gameday early this year when he yelled to his teammates and trying to get pumped. The commentators acted like it was a sort of great achievement. It is a good leader ... these are the things you have to do ... like any other quarterback and leader. This was nothing special. We see highlights of Jake Locker or psychologically Darryl Clark to his teammates in the huddle, right? But since Jesus does, we must praise him for it. I like Tony Pike. Great talent, mediocre to good talent to around, but he makes the team look great. If you want a great leader and a valuable player, see Tony Pike.
