Why you always hear bells after the third time in the college football games?

First, he realized when the Buckeyes were playing, and again when I was watching Penn State. The bells sound like the intro of the song by ACDC "Hells Bells" Does anyone know why playing these?

USC does too, after stops the opponent D, 3 below. the entire stadium bleachers and cheering until 4 to play (usually a punt) is over. I can not say other schools do, but I guess its for the same reason.
