How I can watch football near Manhattan, New York in late August 2008?

Hey guys, I'm traveling from Australia and would love see a football match while I'm traveling through New York. Let me know if there are any games around New York on Saturday or Sunday 06/07 September but do not know how to find games. I love to go to a college game, but would go to a school or the NFL, if that's all thats on (do "strange" go see high school games?). If anyone has any recommendations or suggestions of the computer game and I'd love to hear them. Thanks to all the lots. Jase
