How to make tonight a date night in order to be able to watch sports this weekend?

This weekend will be filled with sports on tv from MLB playoffs to college football to pro football. Tonight is a relatively light night for sports. A good night for a date-night. What would you say to your significant other to make this a date night so you can enjoy sports this weekend?

The way I see it you have three options. The first is the ideal: have a significant other that enjoys watching sports with you. Simple. Two: Get married and stop dating. Three: drop something heavy on your foot and break it, you'll be glued to the couch with good reason, although the pain meds might dull your enjoyment of the games.

Seriously though, just be honest. Tell your partner that there are great sports this weekend, but your date night are impotant to you, and that you don't want to sacrifice one for the other. That should buy you a good Wednesday night date.
