College Football Today Scores
What does it take to be a kicker in college?
Next year will be my senior year in highschool. I've played soccer for 3 years and want to make the move to football to kick fieldgoals. The last kicker at my highschool was ok, not spectacular but solid and he got several scholarships to kick at colleges. I play in a D1 highschool and we should get alot of publicity next year because our running back has already got a free ride to Northeastern and Bryant. I went to the field to try some field goals for the first time today and was like 100% from inside 30 and 6 for 10 from 40. I figgure I should get prety good if i practice over the summer. What should I shoot for now, and is there any chance I could score some sort of scholarship in my senior year?
That sounds very promising. You should really ask your coach or the football coach for more info on scholarships.
If I were you I'd practice as much as possible and get some contacts together and get the process started before enrolling.
I knew someone who's husband was a kicker in the NFL. Maybe you could be too. Good luck.
