Which of the 2 upsets that happened today in college football, was the better upset?

Earlier today, we had Northwestern Wildcats defeating Iowa Hawkeyes 17-10, and Iowa was 9-0. And Northwestern was 5-4 coming into today's game. And then later on, we had Navy Midshipmen defeating Notre Dame Fighting Irish 23-21. So now which one was the better upset? Both were close game, with a lead less then 10 points. But Navy's win was only 2 points more Notre Dame had. And with games like this, proves that the favored team doesn't always wins the game.
Also please tell me why you think the one of the 2 upsets that happened today, that was better then the other upset.

I am a Notre Dame fan and was surprised that the midshipmen won but the Iowa / Northwestern upset was a "better upset."

Why?

A friend of mine since 3rd grade is now a professor at Iowa. He has been boasting about the "best record ever" in the Big 10.
