College Football Winning Percentage

Georgia Bulldogs 2008 College Football Team presentation
Georgia is coming off a 11-2 season capped by a victory over Hawaii 41-10 in the Sugar Bowl. The team returns eight headlines on offense and seven on defense holders. Head coach Mark Richt owns the fourth best winning percentage (.791) among active coaches.
Junior Matthew Stafford returns as quarterback for the Bulldogs. number of Stafford (4272 yards, 26 touchdowns, 23 interceptions, 54.5% completions over two seasons) do not accurately reflect the amount of talent this kid possesses. The coaches spent the offseason working with Stafford on fundamentals.
Corridor Knowshon Moreno returns for its second season. Moreno rushed for 1334 yards last season, which stands as the second over a total student first year in school history. Moreno was also the second leading rusher in the SEC.
The uncertainty on offense corresponds to an offensive line they will have new owners, four of the five positions. Four of the five starters will likely be sophomores. Not sure what some growing pains growth with this young unit. Fortunately for Georgia, which have a lot of talent at other positions to be maintained over this offense chugging up this unit can coalesce.
The Bulldogs are deep along the defensive line. Georgia has the ability to constantly rotate five tackles and six ends. Junior tackle defensive Geno Atkins is the cream of the crop. Georgia also has high aspirations for redshirt the first year Justin Houston, a converted linebacker.
The Bulldogs devoted much of the spring to work on their nickel package. Georgia nickel package does not use a strong-side linebacker, so linebacker Dannell only Ellerbe (center) and Rennie Curran (weakside) see significant playing time.
The secondary is solid and returns three of four starters, including corners Asher Allen and Prince Miller, and strong safety CJ Byrd. Sophomore Reshad Jones appears to be the new owner at free safety.
Freshman Blair Walsh seems to be the odds-on favorite to win the kicking job and senior Brian Mims is a solid player who should have ensured that job.
The 2008 Georgia Bulldogs not without talent. Probably going to go as far as Stafford and Moreno can take them. Georgia also has depth, especially in what could be a dominant defensive line. This team will be very difficult if the offensive line met quickly and effectively plays.
But the Bulldogs have a very tough schedule. They have road games against Arizona State, LSU, Auburn and Florida (in Jacksonville). They also have a tough home game against Tennessee, which beat Georgia 35-14 last season. The advantage only to have such a program is difficult to Georgia could lose a game (or possibly two) and are still in the BCS National Game Championship.
