College Football Yards Per Game

Why not Jim Brown get the recognition he deserves?
I put Jim Brown as the greatest athlete of all time second only to Michael Jordan. It may even be wrong. Brown could well be # 1. * Led the NFL in rushing eight of his nine seasons. Jordan led the NBA in points on. He was the fastest and the strongest player in the field. * He retired at age 29! For good! 29 !!!!!!!!! For the first couple of years was in the NFL, played only 12 games a year, not 16. Their average yards per carry NEVER be touched. * He played five sports in college. Soccer-Duh. basketball, he scored 50 points in a game, and that was when 50 was like today score 70 points. Baseball received offers of contact of the Yankees. Track and Lacrosse Camp Dick Butkus * When he learned that Jim Brown played lacrosse in college, said: "My God! They let the man run around with a stick and hit people? "
He is just one of many athletes who do not receive the recognition they deserve. Warren Spahn, in my opinion was the greatest left-handed pitcher ever, but everyone talks about Koufax and Drysdale and the mention Spahni they say who? Spahn won 363 games and was the only pitcher to have 3 or more consecutive seasons of 20 victories in three different decades - 40's 50's & 60's. When pitching for the Boston Braves joined Johnny Sain to do what they said could not be done - which each won two to beat the Yankees four straight World Series. He later launched the Braves to a title World Series in Milwaukee. In the 50's had six straight seasons with 20 or more victories. Casey Stengel probably said it best when he said: "If I had a game only had to win I'd like to raise Spahn, he just knows how to win. "
