Why footballers in Australia (AFL / NRL) a bunch of arrogant, rude arrogant men?
I'm a 21 myself and I concerned with the behavior of some football players in Australia. Recently in the news I have head of the players involved in drunken behavior and disorder ... destroying public bars, get in fights, drinking and driving, pushing in taxi lines and spitting on customers waiting, breaking glass their friendly faces etc. .. What causes this behavior? Is it because the nature of the sport involves violence, which causes to resort to violence in everyday life? Is it due to testosterone? Or is it because society worhsips them and their God-like status they think they are above the law, and each site? In my opinion, arrogant, ignorant, trash ... and I know that many people agree. What do you think?
If we are talking about professional players, is a very complicated situation, and is unlikely to improve in the short term. The problem begins when one player is the first selected to compete at a professional level and starts to be a massive salary. Often you have to work 9-5 (and not winning heaps), which had paid large amounts of money just to train. This means that you not interact with others in a normal work environment, and spend all their time with their new teammates. If this is a relatively young person, the combination suddenly have a lot of money and being surrounded by celebrity players can make it difficult to keep your feet on the ground. There is pressure to impress coach fans and the media, and of course there is peer pressure from their teammates. If the other players spend their free time getting drunk, be aggressive, scoring with hot chicks and brilliant money around, it is difficult for a new partner to face him. These sports are very aggressive and physically demanding. During training and matches players work a lot of adrenaline and take their share of tackles, and if they lose a game that will have a lot of heat from its coach, the fans and each other. Binge drinking and the fights are justified by many as a way to "blow the mind." And you're right, society does not worship them. I live in Australia and a huge "footy" culture. Apart from the many men who are fans, there are plenty of young women who are released to players. Unfortunately, there are many children who are fans and are learning from the bad conduct both on and off the field. Wow, this is a response to long! I will conclude by saying that gifts from sponsors (often alcoholic beverage companies), special treatment of the bars (VIP seating, open bar), and praise of all the fans to the players a sense of entitlement. They feel they are being respected when they do not receive special treatment, and that's how a lot of fights initiation. That's all from me! Sorry it became a bit of a trial.
