espn college football favorites
Do TV stations in Halifax, Nova Scotia, broadcast U.S. television stations?

I want to be able to see my favorite college football teams play while I'm in Halifax, so I was wondering if there are local affiliates that carry ESPN, CBS, etc.

Halifax and other Canadian cities all receive a local feed for the US major networks (CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX) so that the standard prime-time shows are available just as they are in USA.

Most Saturdays this time of year are covering the local college football games. Other times of the year, you will see college basketball.

Keep in mind that your "favorite" team may not be televised in Halifax. Most of the games I see in Montreal area are involving teams from the New England area (NY, Boston, Syracuse, etc). My guess is that Halifax would be pretty similar.

Of course, there are ways to get to see them. The Canadian satelite services offer college football packages. And I think there is an online service that lets you see broadband quality broadcasts of the college games for a fee.
