Ben Turk to play football for the Irish struggle

One of the commitments the Notre Dame football team signed in recent months was the kicker Ben Turk punt. Ben is a high school student playing football for St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. When he received a scholarship to continue his studies in the University of Notre Dame, he did not take time to decide. He accepted the scholarship without even making a visit to see what awaits him on campus. He is 6 feet and weighs 190 pounds. The signing of Turk for the class of 2009 was the eighth commitment to Notre Dame as it continues its recruitment efforts for the coming years.

Turco is considered to have the strongest legs of any high school football player in the country with an average of 40.8 yards a punt. He comes from a family soccer with his uncle, Matt Turk, being a player from Houston, Texas, for 13 consecutive seasons. Another of his uncles, Dan Turk was an NFL player from 1985 to 1999. He has long been the team and the university up and congratulated himself on having been offered a college scholarship.

St. Thomas Aquinas School is also the soul Wenger mater of such players as Sam Young and Dan. It has a reputation for a strong football team and the commitment of the Turks, Notre Dame now has a line with school to obtain prospects. Turco has not had enough exposure to a ranking of rivals, Scout and ESPN, but the Chris Sailer ranks as the punter sixth in the nation among young college football players. No doubt others will be as high rates.

Although Ben was not promised any Early playing time, he is practicing with the team at South Bend and hopes that through their efforts, be able to prove his batting skills earn some playing time next season. As the punter current plans for next season still in the air, it is very likely to see a Turk time in the field in his first year.

Besides being an excellent football player, Ben is also an outstanding student. His GPA is 4.32 demonstrating that it has everything you need to do well at Notre Dame in all aspects of university life. His teachers have described him as a student of ll-around? Who knows what he wants and is willing to work hard to achieve his goals.

Turco said that Notre Dame is a great university and is proud that he's going to be part of it. Once the Notre Dame commitment makes it easier for him in his final year of high school because he won has to spend his time waiting and wondering if a college team will pick you up. He can concentrate on perfecting his game even more and care of their studies.
