"I can upload a picture of my facebook which was taken by a professional sports photographer in my soccer game?
I play football at school secondary, and a site called MaxPreps allows professional photographers to upload photos taken at games and sell them. All photos are the letters semi-transparent to show that they belong to them. The photo of me says "Max Preparations Copyright 2009." I want to upload it to Facebook, but it would be illegal to do so if it copyright is written into the picture?
You're probably the only other child besides my son to worry about it. =) I personally upload. After all, they are making money off of you, it just seems fair to use. I would not worry at all, on the one hand, usually the first step is ask you to remove the photo. Post it! You should ask your friends with cameras, or children who do the yearbook or newspaper pictures to take some pictures for you. It's so easy now digital, is no big deal I send you a jpg. You have to prove your skills!
