Why not become football's most popular sport in the U.S. and Canada?
In soccer is Mexico's most popular sport, also in Central America (I think), I know for sure is the most popular in South America. If English came from England (the people who invented the "rules of the modern game) and England had something to do with the United States and England has been the most popular sport for some time and Christopher Columbus arrived from Spain (Spain, where it is the most popular sport). Where U.S. and Canada reached Hockey, NFL, Baseball, Basketball and sports being most popular?
The modern game as the Yankees call it, is not fully developed until the 1800s, when the United States had already is become an independent nation. There was a lot of different versions so far. Spain really should not have had anything to do with this, the U.S. is in disagreement with Spain until he was defeated in the War of Spanish Cuba in the late 19th century, and their culture was not really that big of a direct influence on ours. Baseball took the nation by storm in the mid-1800s that became part of our national identity, eclipsing all others, by far, until recently. Personally, I prefer to play football.
