Just kidding? Im referring the U.S. Hockey National Team victory over the Soviets for the gold medal in 1980, Chad K, describe Mighty Mac, the last time I checked, I do not think anyone outside of New York wanted to go to the giants that now, so they were not designed Scrappy, and friendly. Hell, why does Eli just compare this SB U.S. shock win England in the Revolutionary War, then? Contains items that we are talking on the other hand, the U.S. win that hockey game made an entire country I look like an idiot (the USSR). The Giants won the SB NE maded only look stupid.
Well Brian, I did not read the article, but this was the biggest surprise all sports in a long, long time. The difference is this, the U.S. hockey team was a youth group and I mean really young, unknown players. The G-Men by at least had a few players who are recognizable to the public and at least one Hall of Fame. The USSR team was so dominant a force as the 08 Pats Hockey apparently were in the NFL. They were the favorites to win 2 TD. So the odds were against the Giants, as much as the U.S. the miracle on ice. Superbowl This victory was not as Improper as everybody thought, because although in the last week of the regular season of the G-Men lost by 1 point in their game against the Pats. Los Gigantes were a wild card team that nobody expected to be there though and it was certianly a Cinderella story, but as you say this was not an international incident as the miracle on ice, but remains one of the biggest upsets ever in the history of sport. Go Steelers!
