South Africa was one of four African countries to attend the FIFA Congress 1953 in demanding that the four, and won representation on the executive committee of FIFA. Coach of the Year went to Gavin Hunt - mentor of the ABSA Premiership Champions Supersport USA. In this category, Hunt faced the giants in coaching - Styles Phum, Jomo Sono and Serame Letsoaka.
