Eastern Michigan Team Report

In his most recent game, the Eagles were given little chance to snap their long run and stun host Toledo. Eastern Michigan sank with four turnovers and several penalties which came as crucial game.

The result was a 47-21 loss that exhibited many of the same characteristics as the string of defeats in the Eagles have suffered this season. Eastern Michigan fell into a 16-0 hole early in the game and never recovered. The Eagles fall to 0-11 overall and 0-7 in the league.

Akron Team Report

The Zips followed a familiar pattern against Bowling Green. Akron jumped out to a 10-9 lead before halftime Bowling Green rallied with 27 points in the second half to send 36-20 victory.

Zips, 2-9 and 1-6 in the MAC East Division, followed his game plan in the first half. Akron used a two tight end set to run the ball and control the clock, keeping the ball away from Bowling Green quarterback Tyler Sheehan and receiver Freddie Barnes. Akron had 151 yards rushing in the first half and led 10-7 midway through the second quarter after Jeremy Bruce Patrick found nice for a 10-yard touchdown.

In the first half, Sheehan not throw a touchdown and Barnes, the nation's leading receiver, was held to four receptions for 69 yards.
