college football question?
this bothers me when its draft time you hear during the seaosn how good a player is and you watch them put up numbers for a big school and hear houw they will be a top draft pick but when the draft comes around they fall deep down in the draft and players you never heard of emerger in the draft.
examples
Jamal Charles big time running back from texas comes out as a jr people say 2 at latest i think he was a 4
andre woodson stays for sr season people said if he would came out as a jr he would of been a mid 1st round pick
colt brennen who set all kinds of ncaa records as a jr and sr stayed in school and people said if he would of came out as a jr he would have been wanted more then brady quinn
these guys all fell down but you have guys like the ecw running back that the titans took this year and d1aa players who are no names getting drafted in the 1 round why is that?
well a big deal when it comes to draft time is the nfl combine. u do longest pass,bench press reps, shuttle, 40-time, drills like that and it shows ur athelticism. so u can drop that way. injuries is another. the running back for ecu ran a 4.2 40 and was a phenominal kick returner and so his stock went up. also the media is the ones who say when people will go in the draft and in the media they really only like michigan, ohio state, notre dame, texas, and usc. and tim tebow lol. also ur problem with colt brennan was he threw the ball probably 50 times a game. all hawaii does is throw the ball. and he never played or beat even a decent program. i think hes a good quarterback but he was overrated. andre woodson just choked in alot of games and his speed fell. he really was an average qb. also personality factors like if u have a criminal past or something like that especially after charles grant, pacman, and those guy are i trouble. u also have to take into account that thjere are 120 Div 1A teams and hundreds more football programs in the lower divisions that u never see but nfl scouts see. theres so many factors going into this so u just gotta leave it to the experts my man. hope this helps.
