Football combines consist of the following tests: 40 yard dash, vertical jump, long jump, bench press, pro agility transport, three-cone agility, 60 yard shuttle. The better the athlete can perform on each of these 7 tests the better opportunities to play football at the next level if that is the high school to university or college to the NFL.
Football combine performance improvement is double. The athlete needs to train to increase raw strength, speed, power, agility and flexibility. The athlete also has to master the proper technique for each test, ensuring that the test is performed efficiently. This will lead to a knockout football combine performance.
Football combine training
Combines training for football is obviously different from training for the sport of football. The athlete must be a bright mixture speed, agility, power, speed, fluidity and athletic. Training must reflect these qualities.
