Reasons For A College Football Playoff System
Another good reason for a playoff system in College Football?
The Postseason in College Football is very dull you get 7 or 8 decent to great match ups all of them coming after Jan. 1st but if we had a playoff system we would have a post season that would rival the NFL if not have the chance to be better.
If we had a playoff system with 16 teams we could still be in college football season today like the NFL is wouldn't that be cool?
It could be done, but there are too many people that want to see Bowling Green & Tulane ( no disrespect to those programs intended, they just were a couple of names of less successful programs that came to me ) that will play in the NORTHERN TOLIET PAPER BOWL, for nothing more than a maketing opportunity for the corporate sponsor & a payout to the general scholarship program.
Until you make the big ten realize that they play in a weaker divison except for attendance than the Pac 10, SEC & Even the ACC, we continue to have to play this stupid popularity contest.
The NCAA has the right formula in basketball and should enact the same format for football.
